Putt Putt Recap

ImageWhat a day for some putt putt, right? The ice didn’t hold our participants back from having a great outing at the first intramural event of the year. The pack was filled with talent as over 20 players finished under par on the 18 hole course. From our 4pm tee-offs, veteran Luke Bartlett stormed off to a tremendous lead starting off with a score of -6 on the front 9. Not to be outdone though comes Aaron Smith who fires back with 2 hole-in-ones on the back 9 to finish at a competitive -12. Zach Ford and Hayden Sweat seemed to keep each other on their toes as  both finished with a score of 10 under.

Our 6pm competitors were not intimidated by the 4pm scores as two athletes finished with the best scores of the night. A majority of the pack, including all-star names such as Nick Madrick, Josh Goins, and Jason Marshall, were unable to break away from the crowd. Zac Kaffenberger did his best Tiger Woods impression by birdieing 12 of the 18 holes to finish at an astonishing 14 under. In the end, Seth Robertson left his competition in the dust taking home 1st place honors with a score of 17 under. Somebody get this man a green jacket!

In the women’s division, it came down to a three-woman putt off as Hanna, Elise, and Lendee took the putting greens by storm. Hanna and Lendee slowly but surely started to pull away from Elise. Hanna and Lendee competed hole after hole, finally coming down to the 13th hole for a tiebreaker tee-off. Hanna edged Lendee by one stroke, taking the women’s title with a score of +9. Congrats to our winners.
